I love that Train’s music videos are so absurdly G-rated.

After seeing behind-the-scenes photos a few weeks ago, I was convinced that the video for “Drive By” was going to be more risque than it actually is—i.e. scantily clad younger ladies lounging on classic hot rods—despite the fact that all of their other videos are, mostly, sweet and cutesy and blah blah blah, and there was no reason to expect anything different.

And, yet, when I watched “Drive By” for the first time, it was like Pat was saying,  ”Surprise, cynic! I’m sipping wine in Napa and waxing poetic about being in long-term, stable, age-appropriate, monogamous relationships! Ha ha ha!”

The young-women-and-hot-rods bit ended up being all of 10 seconds, and it had very little to do with the actual overall plot.

This is why I should avoid spoilers in situations like these. #foreverapessimist
